Hour upon hour, the bloody clock ticks.
Disrespecting my constant fear of time’s elapse.
My being shakes and my soul cries.
Turn yourself back you monster, and give me those moments you waste!
Give me another chance…
Let me make use of what has been thrown…
But the indolent machine on the wall keeps moving
slowly, lazily, it mocks me.
These sporadic fears are fed with the hesitancy of my restless mind,
its constant ambition for a certain immortality promised for the soul only,
and I doubt every claim.
The nefarious clock twists,
time elapses,
my body gets wearier and wearier with every strike.
Turn back your hands you infimate beast!
Give me back the moments you steal,
give me back every instant that I could make lucrative!
Lazily I watch…
my eyes follow every shift,
every shadow and every breeze that passes.
My eyelashes beat, I hear the tempest they produce,
and I sink back into reality.
Hidden in an innocuous mask, more time elapses.
Innocuous gun that fires at my soul,
the bullet after the other sinks deeper and deeper,
Finitude promised…
Immortality denied.

“Give me back the moments you steal”…I love this line. Nicely done 🙂
Thank you! 🙂
Loved this :). Time is just never enough, especially when we are in a moment that we never want to let go into the past.
Stunning!
A solid demonstration of the inexorability of time.
